In 1998 I imported a young dog, Willowlawn The Entertainer from England. His breeder Christine Ashton had more foresight then I telling me to be patient and wait till he matures, and mature he did - that is Joel looking regal on the Home page! After siring his first few litters I realised how fortunate I and the breed were to have him here in Australia. His progeny have gone overseas to respected breeders.

Joel like my other dogs are rarely shown, previously due to there being a teenage daughter in the family who played a lot of weekend sport, more recently due to my physical injuries which resulted in surgery and have yet to mend.

Joel has been placed at NSW GR club shows with UK Speciality Judges officiating, namely, Mrs M Woods, Mr J Clarke, Mr B Caterall. At the Victorian National GR Show, under Judge Mr R Strudwick UK, Joel was placed 2nd in Intermediate Dog, a class of 47 entries.

Joel has matured into a handsome boy who is siring (with the Dams help) some super puppies with excellent temperaments.

His daughter Piarki The Winter Spirit being Best Baby Bitch (24 entries) Qld National Show, also her sister Piarki The Dream Machine (Porsche) placed in Intermediate Class Vic National and placed 1st Intermediate Bitch Class Sydney Royal . Piarki The Highroller was best Baby Dog, Sept GRC Show NSW. Joel's son 'Dash' has been well placed at Speciality shows, notably winning 'Best Head' on 4 outings at Speciality Shows - a record I am sure!

In 2003 Joel's daughters again excelled with Piarki the Cabaret, the beautiful Nelli, won RCC Bitch & Australian Bred in Show at the WA GRC Show, under UK Specialist, Mrs L Kipps. Piarki Mea Terah,(his Granddaughter) won Best Junior In Show at the same show!!

Australian Champion Arangold The Carousel (IMP NZ), Joel's lovely New Zealand daughter went RCC Bitch & Intermediate in the GRC of NSW Sept 2003 Show, under UK Breed Specialist Mr F Hayton. Cloud also won BIG under Vic breed specialist Mr R Bridgeford in 2003. Cloud again won RCC Bitch & Best Open in Show at the SA GRC 2004 Championship Show, also at this show Piarki Magic Band went Best Puppy in Show, he is owned by Alex & Lydia in SA. In 2004 Clouds sister Liza, won Reserve CC and Runner Up In Show at the NZ Speciality Show under noted UK Breed specialist Mr M Philphott.

Joel's daughters - Australian Champion Montego Curtain Call ~ Rita and Ch Montego Miras Dream CD ~ Dee - have been wonderful ambassadors for the Montego Kennels. Congratulations must go to Joel's 'jumping' daughter Elsa on her success and titles, proudly owned by Ann Kumar in WA.

Stop Press Joel's New Zealand daughter - Arangold The Cabaret (Lisa) (Sire: Willowlawn The Entertainer (Imp UK) ~ Dam: Ch Arangold Victoriana) - has gained her New Zealand Championship. Congratulations to her Breeder/owner Margaret Hean.

Stop Press Saturday 20st August 2005 at the Southern Golden Retriever Club Ch Show, Arangold The Cabaret (Lisa) gained the Bitch CC and RUIS under Scottish specialist judge Mr J Richardson.

Stop Press 23.04.05 Joel's daughter Nelli ~ Piarki the Cabaret (Sire: Willowlawn the Entertainer Imp UK - Dam: Piarki Summer Rust) gained her Australian Champion title at the Wellington Show Society.
Judge ~ Mrs J Dickinson Franks. Nelli was handled superbly by Rose Easton.

Again I must sincerely thank Christine & Pete Ashton, Willowlawn Kennels UK for entrusting me to have such a super well bred boy who has really 'entertained' everyone who knows and loves him with his big personality.
